Medieval Kingdom of Sicily Image Database transferred to O’Donnell Institute

The Medieval Kingdom of Sicily Image Database Project—founded at Duke in 2011 by Caroline Bruzelius—is now housed at the Edith O’Donnell Institute of Art History. New Bass Connections Project: World Building at Duke in an Emerging Durham

Faculty and staff members of DAHVC have been awarded funding via Duke’s Bass Connections for a 2023-24 project that will examine the histories of Duke in/and Durham between 1924-1932. This work builds on earlier and ongoing projects including Building Duke, Digital Durham, and Building the Olmsted Record. Students: Apply by August 23! The establishment of the Duke Endowment in 1924 enabled the massive building campaign that gave us the Duke University we know today. That building history has been researched in its essential parts.
